“Safety Above All” is something we take incredibly seriously
at Olive on Tap. We are carefully monitoring recommendations
from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) , the World Health Organization (WHO), and the
Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) as we strive to protect
our customers and our team. Be aware that in the past Olive
on Tap, since day one of opening, has gone above and
beyond what is required by the city of Minnetonka and State
of Minnesota. Some Key Points:
1 - We are a Minnesota licensed Wholesale Manufacturer Processor & FDA certified food facility, so we are subject to more stringent requirements then your typical olive oil tasting room. Every surface floor to ceiling in our facility, as well as all of the dispensing equipment is National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certified.
2 - We have never, and never will, refill bottles. We have always found it to be a "gray area" food safety wise. Some think its a waste, but our goal was, and still is, to protect you and all of our other customers. We encourage recycling your glass bottles... glass is more recyclable than the plastic you trash or "recycle".
That being said, We are giving our team updates about COVID-19 and reminding them to follow simple but effective steps to keep them safe such as frequent hand-washing and even though not required, utilizing gloves throughout the production process. We are disinfecting our facilities and equipment as appropriate, and have always done so, on a daily basis. We clean and sanitize all tanks between filling for your safety. With new restrictions and limitations coming out daily to help contain the spread of the virus, know that we are still here to service you. We still do FREE home delivery within 10 miles of our Minnetonka shop with no minimum purchase required. Finally, at the store we are implementing a sales clerk sample policy....ask and we will get samples for you. This again is to protect you.
